I'm taking Steph's suggestion and am shooting to storyboard up until where the girl gets to the market to sell her carrots. SO-- here's what I've been up to so far with my preparatory sketches for my storyboards~
It's really fun drawing these and they help SO much. Comments, constructive criticism, and love is appreciated!
Loving the sketches. I always love your sketches. :) My sketches always look super super rough, often to the point of incomprehension. So I envy your sketching abilities. :P
ReplyDeleteOh and I especially like your truck sketches. It has so much personality! And your poses are really great. The only weakness I see is the character design because their silhouettes don't look too different from each other, but I wouldn't worry about it at this point. Plus everything else is looking really strong so far and should make up for it! :)
ReplyDeleteI send you my love! <3 (you said love is appreciated, haha)
AHAHAHA thanks! for some reason your comments didn't show up in my email, but I'd like to thank you for your comments now! Any suggestions for good silhouettes? I was wondering how to differ the boy and girl too to which I gave up and decided I'd fix it later... My class agreed with the truck personality business and my teacher suggested I infuse my landscapes with such personality-- that I do more environment studies to practice. [am trying with that.] thanks for the love, dear! right back at you <3 <3 <3
ReplyDeleteHaha, no problem!
ReplyDeleteTry different shaped heads, different body types/sizes. Maybe the boy is squat and chubby? Maybe he's very angular? Just experiment with a bunch of different shapes and sketch out as many possibilities as you can till it hurts your head. :P (no, but seriously).
And yeah, infusing your landscapes with that personality would be good too. Actually, I already like how your architectural landscapes are. They kind of do have personality--maybe not in the exact same way the truck does, but they do.
